1. បន្តក់ ( n ) [bɑntɑk]
   a diacritical mark (់) placed over a final consonant of a syllable to indicate that the preceding vowel is shortened (in syllables with no written vowel, it indicates that the inherent vowel is pronounced as ɑ following an A-Series consonant and as ʊə or [u] (before a labial consonant) following an O-Series consonant; in syllables containing the vowel a it indicates that the a is pronounced as [a] following an A-Series consonant and as oa or ea (before a velar consonant) following an O-Series consonant)
   Eg. កត់: kɑt, ពស់ pʊəh, ឈប់​ chup, កាត់​ kat, គាត់​ koat, ទាក់​ teak See: សង្កត់, រស្សសញ្ញា
2. បន្តក់ ( v ) [bɑntɑk]
   to drip, dribble; to allow to drip / drop on

   to shoot over a barrier / in the air so that the projectile will describe a high trajectory on its way to the target
