   season (According to the solar calendar there are four seasons: និទាឃរដូវ spring, វស្សានរដូវ summer, សរទរដូវ autumn, សិសិររដូវ winter. According to the lunar calendar there are three seasons: ហេមន្តរដូវ or រដូវរងា the cold season, គិម្ហរដូវ or រដូវក្ដៅ the hot season, វស្សានរដូវៀរ រដូវភ្លៀង the rainy season. According to ancient Cambodian writings there were six seasons of 59 days each: ហេមន្តៈ, រដូវរងា cold season; សិសិរៈ, រដូវរងាខ្លាំង very cold season; វសន្តៈ, រដូវស្លឹកឈើលាស់ season of growth (in trees); គិម្ហៈ, រដូវក្ដៅ hot season; វស្សានៈ, រដូវភ្លៀង rainy season; សរទៈ, រដូវចុះអ័ព្ទ foggy season)
